The absence of you

Can you feel that I am sleeping,

Can you feel I’m dreaming of you

But tonight I’m all alone just like any other night

And I’m here in our bed with two pillows for my head

The absence of you is a boulder on my heart

Doesn’t let me breathe, doesn’t let me live

Nothing matters anymore

Not the flowers blooming

Not the bees and butterflies

Not the moonlight on a green and sweet night

Baby don’t you know

How hard it is for me sleeping alone

Baby don’t you know how hard it is

To spend the night flying over the ocean

Without touching it...

Loneliness enwraps  me

And fills all my senses

I can almost touch it

It’s cold and damp to the touch

Reminds me the smell of an old abandoned house

A painful cry

Rancid in taste...

Baby don’t you know

How hard it is for me sleeping alone

Baby don’t you know how hard it is

To spend the night flying over the ocean

Without touching it...

I wake up in the morning

And I only wait for bedtime

But it’s not even a comfort

For my wounds,

Bleeding and crying

Even more, when the night comes...

Bleeding and crying

Even more, when the night comes...
